Episode Guide

Joe is goodbye. He’s been with the P.I. Joe team for over a year now, and it’s time to say goodbye. Joe has had his share of highs and lows, but he’s always been a good friend to everyone on the team. He’ll be missed, but we all know that he’ll always be with us.

Netflix’s You is back for a second season and while it’s better than the first, it’s not as good as people thought it would be. ..

Joe leaves his old life in Ohio and moves to LA to start fresh. He’s determined to escape the ghosts of his past and start anew.

Joe is a serial predator who has a hard time resisting the urge to attack new women. Despite his best efforts, he can’t help but prey on new victims. ..

Love Quinn is a well-connected, bubbly woman with a rich family and more than a few secrets of her own. Joe finds himself wrapped up in a whole host of busywork subplots to pad out the run-time. ..

Joe’s adopted persona is a result of his experiences with the Mafia and his neighbours Delilah and Ellie. Joe has problems at work, along with the threat of Candace returning, along with a personal crusade to win over Love’s brother, Forty.

The show does an excellent job of balancing its messy melodrama with its tightly constructed thriller, but towards the end of episodes 7 and 8 it goes on for far too long and feels like padding. ..

The final scene of episode 8 and 9 raises continuity issues. ..

Season 2 was a return to form for Joe, but it was also a little more serious. The show began to explore Joe’s dark side, and the ways that he can manipulate people. It also became more about the characters themselves, as opposed to Joe.

Season 2 of “Stranger Things” loses focus in some ways in favour of its wacky and crazy plot twists, flipping the script but not always in a way that benefits the show as a whole. It’s not outright bad per se, but season 2 falls short of the great work done in season 1. ..

The tone of the show feels off, and it’s not helped by the self-referential jokes.

Despite those gripes though, You is undeniably a guilty pleasure watch. This deliciously twisted thriller may not be as tightly written as the first season, but it does manage to deliver enough surprises and compelling characters to keep you watching until the end.
