Westworld Season 3 was disappointing. The story lost focus on what made the show so great in the first place and it just didn’t live up to my expectations. ..

The ethical questions around robot rights, the morality of life and death along with what would happen if robots became sentient have always been centric to this show but for some reason, season 3 decided to twist that into developing Maeve and Dolores as this pair of unstoppable monsters. Oh, and overseen with a giant robot ball called Rehoboam of course.

The season 4 premiere is a hard reset for Westworld. It’s not just a reset for Westworld, but for almost every aspect of the show save for the gorgeous visual design. Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan seem to have taken everything onboard and in that respect, season 4 feels like a hard reset.

The park has been reset with a new lick of paint, the characters have been revamped and the balance has been rescaled much more effectively this time around. No one character has the upper-hand (looking at you super Maeve who can not be harmed and controls everything) and the season is all the stronger for it.

The showrunners have decided that the story should move on and focus on new characters. We see a flashback to a young girl named Arian, who is living in the city with her family. She’s been trying to piece together what happened to her father and why she can’t find him. We also get a look at the world after Rehoboam’s destruction, where people are struggling to rebuild.

The season finale of “Westworld” left many questions unanswered, including what happened to Dolores after she was killed in the previous season. The character has returned under a new alias, Christina, and seems to be operating on a different level than the other hosts. While it’s still unclear what her motives are, her presence raises many questions about the future of the park. ..

There is a separate strand involving Bernard that is clearly going to be a larger part of the story coming in the second half of this season. He’s off on a fetch quest but where? Well, we don’t know yet!

There are three main characters in this show: Maeve, Caleb, and Dolores. Maeve and Caleb are the main protagonists while Dolores is the tertiary protagonist. The tertiary protagonist is important because she helps to unlock the big secrets of the show. There are also some throwbacks to the first season too, with stark juxtapositions to what was happening to Dolores uncovering the truth of her reality.

At the same time, we also see a new and revamped William, with a flock of killer flies at his disposal. This ties in with the bigger picture, which is still a mystery to me. ..

In the first three episodes, we are introduced to the characters and their world. In episode 4, we learn more about the mastermind behind all of this - a man who has been manipulating and manipulating these people for years. This man is a dark and twisted figure, one who has done terrible things in his life. He is a madman with a plan, and he is going to get what he wants by any means necessary.

The fourth season of “The Expanse” is visually stunning. In the words of showrunner John Hammond, they’ve clearly “spared no expense” in creating this world. ..

The film follows a group of people as they travel around the world, taking in different cultures and landscapes. The shots are long and descriptive, showing off the beauty of the locations. There is a lot of on-location shooting, which contrasts with the choked deserts and 60’s Chicago nightscape. All of these are blended together in a realistic way.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, Westworld Season 4 is shaping up to be a much better proposition than season 3, although it does fall short of season 1’s lofty heights.

The mystery in this show is more interesting and the puzzle box that slowly opens over time is more engaging.

The show’s main focus is on the robotic host, who seems to have some residual life left in her despite being a machine. While there are some questions about whether or not that spark is enough to reel in those disenfranchised by the previous seasons, based on what’s here, it seems like there’s still some life left in this robotic host.
