Kingdom

Kingdom is a zombie action-thriller that splits across two seasons. The first season is focused on political drama while the second season focuses on action. The show is beautifully presented and dripping in Asian culture, making it a must-watch for fans of the genre.

The first episode of “Queen of the South” introduces the beautiful and historically accurate setting of Hanyang in South Korea, then flashes back to the Joseon Period and Crown Prince Lee Chang’s bitter feud with Queen Seon-deok. Physician Seo-Bi makes a horrifying discovery that changes everything. ..

As Lee Chang and her partner, John, try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where the living hunt the dead, they must rely on their own strength and ingenuity to survive. With no guns or modern weaponry, much of the tension comes from seeing these men and women make do with the scarce resources around them.

The show is one of the few that balances this action with tension perfectly. The second season only builds on this, leading to the very possible prospect of a third season.

Kingdom is a new show on Netflix that we think is great. We’re going to be reviewing it throughout the season so be sure to check it out!

The Cursed

The Cursed is a mystery series that is full of suspense and mystery. The series has a lot of ideas and mysteries that are worth exploring. The Cursed is an interesting show to watch.

Jin-Hee is assigned to investigate the case and soon realizes that the company’s chairman, Park Joon-hee, may be involved in more than just business dealings. The shamanist connection seems to be a key part of his dark secrets.

In this episode, we explore how this idea manifests itself across different episodes.

The Guest

The Guest is a possession-based horror film that features an unconventional team-up between three different characters. Hwa Pyung is a young psychic born into a shaman family who learns about a powerful demon known as “son” (guest). This demon has the power to control other demons and also possess weak-minded people. The film follows Hwa Pyung as she tries to stop son from possessing her friend, and eventually the entire city. ..

With this demon on the loose, Hwa-Pyung and Choi Yoon team up with Kil Yeong, the daughter of a detective, after their families are killed by a demon.

After forging a friendship, we follow the unlikely trio of friends as they try to stop “Son” from harming others in the future.

The show is well written and has a lot of memorable moments. Some of the more intense sections are also pretty well written.

Priest

Priest is a spooky Korean drama revolving around a young Catholic priest called Soo-Min. Enlisting in a group called 643 Regia, Soo-Min is taught how to exorcise demons by Priest Ki-Sun, who also happens to be the founder of the group. The priest’s job is dangerous and often involves violence, but it’s also an opportunity for him to help people in need. ..

The main point of this article is that Soo-Min has a past that has led him to believe in the devil and his power.

Ham Eun-Ho, a doctor who’s determined to save lives after her own family were involved in a tragic accident, begins to question her life when she witnesses a supernatural phenomenon and stumbles into Priest Soo-Min because of it.

This drama has a lot of suspenseful moments that make it well worth watching. There are some chilling moments throughout the entire series that make it a must-watch.

Bring It On, Ghost

Ghost is an intriguing Korean drama that channels those ghost-hunting vibes with an unconventional team and some lovely drama along the way. This is far less a horror and much more geared toward fantasy romance but the ghost design is certainly spooky so we thought we’d add it on!

Park Bong Pal is a college student who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. He decides to make a bit of extra money by becoming an exorcist and helping people vanquish their ghosts. ..

The professor at Bong Pal’s university, Hye Sung, is investigating the disappearances of students along the plane of existence. He has a connection to Kim Hyun Ji, the ghost of a 19-year old student who’s unable to move on from this plane of existence. With both of them inexplicably linked, he could hold the clues to what’s going on.

Bring It On, Ghost is a really enjoyable Korean drama. It channels those unconventional team-up vibes to make for an entertaining watch. ..

The Ghost Detective

The Ghost Detective is a Korean drama about a detective who hunts ghosts. Former military man Lee Da-Il works as a private investigator alongside Yeo-Wool, who becomes his assistant. Fearless and driven for the truth, the pair team up together and begin investigating the death of Yeo-Wool’s younger sibling. ..

The Ghost Detective is a gripping, suspenseful drama that features some truly unnerving moments. The story is well-balanced with drama, tension and horror, making it an excellent choice for fans of these genres. The Ghost Detective was also awarded both the Excellence Award for Male Actor in a Drama and Best Supporting Actress award. This one is definitely a critically acclaimed option.

White Christmas

White Christmas is a much older drama than most of the others on this list, but it doesn’t have the same production design as some of the newer titles. However, you definitely shouldn’t let that deter you. ..

The seven students are determined to make the most of their time inside Soo-Sin, even if it means staying cooped up together. But as the days go by and they start to get on each other’s nerves, will they be able to survive until Christmas? ..

As the students of Westfield High School begin to receive letters full of hate, they quickly realize that there is a murderer on the loose. The only question is – who? ..

This engrossing mystery mixes in with a more thematic idea around what drives someone to become a murderer. While this one doesn’t have loads of spooky segments, and the ending is certainly a little questionable, there’s enough here to recommend if you’re looking for a whodunit mixed with horror elements.

Sweet Home

As the world around them begins to crumble, a small group of people find themselves fighting for their lives in Sweet Home. With fear and paranoia taking over, they must rely on each other to stay alive and protect what’s left of humanity. If they can survive the challenges of the environment and the monsters that threaten their existence, they may just be able to keep Sweet Home alive.

Sweet Home is a thrilling, action-packed series that ramps up the pace and tension from episode to episode. The first half of the series is full of excitement, but it’s only in the second half that we learn more about the characters and their motivations. This makes for an exciting finale, which leaves the door open for a second season. ..

The Village: Achiara’s Secret

The Village: Achiara’s Secret is a mystery series that combines elements from Twin Peaks, Midsomer Murders, and other mystery series of its kind. The show slowly chips away at the happy façade to showcase something very ugly and shocking at its core. ..

Han So-Yoon, a English teacher at the local school, discovers a buried corpse in the village. With no identity or motive, it’s up to rookie policeman Park Woo-Jae and So-Yoon to find out what’s really going on.

If you’re looking for a compelling whodunit with eerie, unsettling vibes, this one’s definitely worth checking out. ..

Save Me

The show does a great job of exploring the dark side of this cult, and the ways in which they can manipulate people. It’s a very tense and gripping show, and I was really impressed by how well it handled its religious themes.

Sang-Mi’s family is torn apart after her son commits suicide. Baek Jung-ki, the cult leader, lures them to the dark side with promises of salvation. Sang-Mi’s Father is fully brainwashed and her Mother is mentally unstable, leaving Sang-Mi as the only one who can save them. ..

Four men are approached by Sang-Mi who whispers “save me.” They don’t know what she’s talking about and end up getting involved in a mix of thriller, drama and mystery as they try to find out what’s going on.

There are some tense moments in the film, largely due to the effective performance of the Spiritual Leader. ..
