Netflix has been releasing a lot of new programmes lately, and it seems like they’ve been incorporating gameshows into them. I think it makes sense because they’re relatively easy to produce, and they can be reused. Plus, the scripts are usually pretty simple – which is always a plus.

Floor is Lava should have been a knockout win. With a simple premise and taking cues from shows like Takeshi’s Castle and Wipeout, Netflix’s gameshow missed the mark with an annoying narrator and some even more annoying contestants. And that’s before mentioning the constant replays that slowed the pacing down far too much. ..

Netflix has made some changes to the formula for season 2 of “Netflix Originals.” On the one hand, there are more obstacles, more rooms and plenty of opportunities to fall in the lava. At the same time, the show continues to slip up with its narration and even brings back contestants from season 1 too!

The game room in episode 5 is themed around a haunted house.

The water (aka. lava) returns of course, with the goal here to avoid falling in. Your legs can be submerged though, as evidenced in episode 1, but falling in completely is off-bounds.

The game of “Room Escape” is a three-person team competition in which players must find and use the various clues and objects to exit the room before the time limit expires. The game has multiple paths to success, depending on the player’s choices. ..

The final round of the volcano challenge is a huge, mock-up of a volcano. Two teams from each team must cap their volcano with a rock and the team that get there first and do it the fastest, wins the $10,000 prize money.

The first season of WWE Gameshow was a lot of fun. The changes did certainly benefit the series, but at the same time, it doubled down on its wacky elements. Every contestant team is “themed”, with matching outfits and gimmicks. It was something that I loved or hated, but personally, I would have liked to see ordinary people without the need to throw in rejected ideas for WWE tag teams.

Netflix’s “House of Cards” season finale features celebrities from different reality TV shows, including Hype House and Too Hot To Handle. This final episode features some of the biggest names in entertainment, and it’s sure to be a wild ride.

Season two of “The Amazing Race” feels like a step forward in terms of the rooms and obstacles, but the narration, replays, and annoying contestants all return. This season is definitely going to be an acquired taste for some viewers. ..

Season 1 of “The Crown” was a gripping and well-made drama that left many viewers eager to see what would happen in the next season. However, those who were turned off by the over-the-top action and explanations may find more of the same in this season. Despite some improvements, “The Crown” is still a great show to watch.
