The Arthdal Chronicles is a high fantasy novel that leans heavily on its high fantasy concepts. Some may find the concepts difficult to understand, but the author does a great job of explaining them in a clear and concise manner.

The story is a convoluted mess that will punish you if you don’t pay attention during every minute of its 70+ minute episodes.

As the military force led by Tagon rises to power, they promise to bring balance back to the world. However, they face resistance from the peaceful colony of Wahan Tribe. With only a few left, the Wahan Tribe must fight for their survival against an opposing force that is determined to take them down.

As the episodes progress, the series becomes more political and with a second season already green-lit, this isn’t the last we’ll see of this Korean drama.

Rome is a gripping, well-made series that tells the story of one of history’s most influential and powerful empires. The show is expert in its portrayal of the politics, culture, and everyday life of the people who lived in Rome during its peak years. The story follows the lives of two men serving in the Roman army, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pollo. There’s no shying away from the brutal harsh realities of their profession and Rome captures this in all its bloody glory. The story follows their journey from boyhood to manhood, as they fight for Rome and its people. It’s a tale of courage, determination, and love.

Rome is a must-see historical drama that is backed up by stunning visuals and some of the best production work one could ask for from a historical epic like this. Despite its disappointing ending after a second season, Rome remains a quintessential choice for any historical drama fan.

Medici

Rinaldo Albizzi is the illegitimate son of Lorenzo de’ Medici, one of the most powerful and influential families in Florence. Albizzi has always been a rebel, and he’s only gotten worse since his father’s death. He’s determined to take over the family business, and he’s not afraid to use force if necessary. Cosimo de’ Medici is a much more traditional figure, and he doesn’t want Albizzi taking over at all. But when Cosimo dies, Rinaldo takes his place as head of the family. This puts a lot of pressure on Rinaldo to make sure that his family stays strong and prosperous.

This conflict drives much of the narrative forward, eventually coming to a head late on during the show’s climactic finale. From here, the next couple of seasons expand the story and history of the Medici family, delivering a compelling series worth checking out.
