In Another Life

Ramon confronts Micah in her bedroom about what she’s done. Aames has spilled secrets, which is what’s caused Ramon to lash out, hissing that she’s a terrible mother. Micah tries to explain that she didn’t mean to hurt Aames and that she was just trying to help him. Ramon doesn’t believe her and accuses her of being a liar.

Joshua actually hated her. As Micah hurries downstairs, she sets off her alarms and grabs a knife. She screams at Joshua to leave her house. ..

“Please, Micah,” Poppy implores him, “change the security code. We can’t keep this up any longer.” “I’m sorry,” Micah responds, “I can’t do that. I’m sorry.”

Micah refuses to entertain the idea though but Markus is distracted by a message from Ramon himself. He wants to meet up and talk.

Markus, a detective with the police department, is on his way to the scene of the crime. He sees Ramon fall and he runs to help him. As he helps Ramon to the ground, he notices a man running away from the scene. The man is wearing a long hair and he seems to be in a hurry.

Markus and Aames try to pursue Ramon but they lose him. When Aames shows up, he reveals that the apartment has been turned completely upside down. Could it be that Ramon was hiding something? Before the duo part ways, Markus implores Aames to work with Poppy rather than against her.

Markus and Poppy investigate the possibility that there are hidden cameras in Shelter, and find files on everyone, including Markus. His file seems to be innocent enough, revolving exclusively around having another baby. However, he is pretty shifty and tells Poppy he’ll look into this himself. ..

The video evidence seems to suggest that Ramon may have found the cameras and is trying to incriminate Micah and Josh. It’s possible that he has something against them and is trying to protect them. We need to find out what this all means.

Aames and Poppy end up speaking at the bar. It’s a quick chat, but it doesn’t go well. They’re still not able to see eye to eye.

Markus finds a breakthrough when he matches the ID for our mystery man in Ramon’s apartment to our dollhouse maker at Shelter. This leads him to believe that Ramon was involved in some sort of crime, and that he may have been the one who left the dollhouse behind.

Markus is a homeless man who works at Shelter. He’s able to move around easily because he has a lot of help from the staff there. When Markus goes out to investigate, he runs into problems with Ingram. Neither of them are happy, and Ingram is going to head back to New York soon too.

Poppy heads over to Micah’s place and finds that Hope is inside with him. ..

Hope is pinned up against the wall and it looks like she’s about to be kissed. However, the episode ends with Poppy getting smacked upside the head with a shovel.

The Episode Review

This week on Truth Be Told, we take a closer look at the Hope character and the familial drama surrounding her. Alongside this, we see a much more intriguing drama starting to build up as it seems that Hope may be the key to what’s going on. ..

This hidden camera footage gives a good incentive for Micah to hate Ramon, as it seems like there is dirt on everyone. However, it also looks like there may be more to the story than meets the eye. With Ramon now dead and many questions left unanswered, it remains to be seen who the real culprit is behind this – and what their motive is.

Truth Be Told ended its first season with a decent enough episode, but it’s still not up to the standards of other murder mysteries. For now, Truth Be Told will stick with it for the time being.
