Joe reflects on how disconnected he and Love are from each other. He realizes that he needs to make sure the Conrad family’s blood is cleaned up before they move out. Joe decides to take advantage of Henry’s time in the crib and do some cleaning up himself.

Matthew is currently being watched by someone who hunches over their desk and tries to find anything to incriminate her. Love has issues of her own though as Sherry confirms that there’s a letter of introduction that’s due today she needs to write for that prestigious school.

Sherry is happy to help, but Theo’s messages take her away from the situation. When they meet, Theo breaks the news about Matthew and decides they should use the footage Matthew has to incriminate Joe, giving Love a clean break and forcing Joe behind bars. It’s a clever plan, and Theo immediately sets to work enacting it. ..

Joe heads to meet Marienne, who is depressed and clearly not doing well. The Judge has ruled against Marienne and even worse, Ryan and Juliette are moving to New Jersey.

Joe is trying to make new friends and connect with girls, but he’s been keeping a secret from them. He tells them about when he was a kid and killed someone. Marienne encourages Joe to come over to her place where they wind up making love. However, they also miss a call from Love who is frantic to meet so they can go over the details of their plan. ..

Sherry and Cary are in hiding after the surveillance camera situation. Love posing as Sherry wrote the blog post claiming they and Cary are in hiding.

Theo’s plan is clever because it allows him to take advantage of Matthew when he’s distracted. When Theo scurries away, Matthew returns to his office and decides to try and forget about Natalie’s murder. However, Theo has the advantage because he still has the USB stick with the evidence on it. ..

Cary’s gun is brought downstairs and Love gives the pair an ultimatum. Whoever kills the other will be let free from the glass cage. It’s a risky plan and as Love reels from her erratic actions, Joe is too busy being Joe.

Joe follows Ryan that night, but is blindsided when Ryan knocks him down and threatens to call the police. Joe eventually pushes Ryan over the edge of a building and stabs him, right outside in the middle of the street. Surely there are surveillance cameras nearby? ..

Theo looks for Joe, but he’s nowhere to be found.

Left unattended, Cary and Sherry grab the gun and fire off a round. This alerts Theo who goes sniffing around the basement. Sherry and Cary frantically scramble for Theo to let them out, as the teen scrambles upstairs to find a key that will let them out. ..

Theo is rushed to the hospital with a serious head injury. When he wakes up, he reveals that he has a love-hate relationship with his wife Gil. Gil tries to convince Theo to leave her, but the love in Theo’s heart won’t let him go. Gil then smacks him upside the head.

The Episode Review

Theo’s analysis of the CCTV footage is a key part of the show’s plan to catch Love and Joe, but it also raises questions about their motives. Why was Theo looking at the footage of Ryan’s murder? Was he trying to find out more about what happened or was he just trying to help?

Love is the one who always ends up causing trouble, putting the whole family in danger. When Theo finds the Conrads, it’s because Love has disappeared. ..

The fact that the show has been focusing so much on connecting with Henry and doing what’s right for him this season seems to be leading to them using their child a lot as babysitters, huh? I know that makes things easier for the murder storyline, but honestly, adding Henry into the mix would add some real stakes and make the show more interesting. ..

In the end, we’re left with a question: will this season’s finale be the final time we see love and Joe get away with murder? It seems like it might not be a stretch to say that. But given how often these two have been able to get away with murder, it’s hard to say for sure. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the finale.
