Hank tells Amado that he needs to stop taking the money from his account, as it puts him in a difficult position. Amado’s men take out an assassin ready to kill her, but also reinforce just how much danger she’s in.

Amado is confident that Hank won’t find out he took the money, but it’s a risky move. Hank is a smart guy and it’s only a matter of time before he figures out the truth. ..

Victor is still working undercover and sniffs around Vicente’s truck in an attempt to find evidence to incriminate him. Vicente notices Victor and calls him out for it, demanding he stay away from the truck in the future. Thankfully, Victor doesn’t get caught, but he doesn’t have much luck running the plates from the car sniffing around the bus depot. It links back to the wrong car, meaning they’ve clearly been switched. ..

Elsewhere, Walt gets nowhere with his Arellano tapes. Alex listens to all these different voices and claims he doesn’t recognize any of them. Reassuring himself that Alfredo is okay, Alex continues. Walt is quiet, especially given he knows the man is dead.

So, the team sets out to track down the daughter’s hospital. They find out that she is being treated for a seizure disorder, and they are able to track her down to an address. They then use this information to get a warrant for her arrest.

Andrea chases up her lead in Tijuana, which links back to a former beauty queen. This woman appears to be the conduit between Juarez and Hank. In order to nail this lead, Salgado tasks the team with digging into the archives and figuring out who this woman actually is.

According to a recent article in the Mexican newspaper, Yessenia was living in Monterrey in the early 1980s under the name of Yessenia and a prominent picture in the newspaper shows Hank’s face too. It’s just the breakthrough they needed, and while there’s nothing on the girl, there is something on one of the others in the picture, a guy called Edgar. He died in a helicopter crash but took orders from General Rebollo.

It turns out that Hank and the others have been paying off the General all this time. With a solid story this time, Andrea is tasked with writing this up.

Walt is at the military building again, and he’s not happy about it. He’s been trying to get ahold of Rebollo for weeks, but he’s been told that the general is too busy with his new job. Now, Jaime has come through and broke the news to Walt that Rebollo is about to be arrested. The news is so important that Walt doesn’t want to let it go without saying something. He goes into the military building and finds out that everything has changed. Documents are being burned, people are excited about what they’re hearing, and Rebollo is at the end of the line.

Walt grabs Alex and takes him away to safety, knowing full-well that the Mexican authorities are going to kill him if he stays. “I did everything necessary to get the job done,” Walt tells reporters. “Even if that means working with Amado all this time.” ..

Amado, now out of time, learns that the police have seized the hangar and with it, any chance of flying out. The police have taken away his only hope of escape.

The Episode Review

The story of Rebollo and Chapo is a complex one, with many layers to it. It all comes down to this: Rebollo has been found out to be working for Amado all this time, while Chapo finds his post in prison threatened. Of course, pressure builds diamonds and for Chapo, he’s just starting to find an opportunity to shine. Will he capitalize on the chaos gripping Mexico?

The situation in Mexico is rapidly deteriorating. Amado loses his opportunity to leave as the police close in on the men responsible for turning Mexico into a personal battleground. The cardinal’s death is the real catalyst here, and since then, the noose has been slowly tightening around these men. ..

Victor’s pursuit of the lead is still unknown, but given his arc it’s likely he won’t stop.

The finale of “Game of Thrones” is fraught with potential conflict and tension, with many potential bombshell revelations about the characters and their relationships.
