Bafflingly Bland Borefest
Netflix’s latest thriller, Hypnotic, is a bit of a mystery. It’s bafflingly bland, with a predictable script and tepid camera work. If you’re looking for an exciting movie to watch, this one might not be it.

This movie is a mess. The plot is weak and the ending is predictable. The movie also contains clichés and has no potential to be interesting.
Jenn doesn’t even bother to check on Dr. Meade’s credentials until three months of sessions have passed; the bland tired conclusion with the antagonist monologue and inevitably shootout is all fluffy, mediocre stuff. ..
Nowadays, revenge thrillers and psychological thrillers are all the rage. Some of the more clever ones include Gothika and What Lies Beneath, which deal with shady males holding secrets, while The Hypnotist and The Hypnotized handle the hypnotherapy side of things more elegantly. ..
There’s not much else to say about Hypnotic. It’s a poorly made film, with poor camera work, a poor script and a poor “twist” at the end. Put this one on when you’re trying to fall asleep – because that’s the only benefit you’ll get from watching this paint-by-numbers thriller. ..
