Disney+ Viu is back with its second day of the holiday. Now that all the mates have arrived, we witness a changing dynamic – or is it because they’ve all had a good sleep?

The recap: Choi Woo-shik arrives at the school, where they rush to catch up with him. Taehyung drags him to get changed into their uniforms, including matching socks.

Park Seo-joon (Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels, Itaewon Class) – the father and emotional anchor Park Hyung-sik (Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Suits, Juror 8) – the kind mom, a little softer than dad Choi Woo-shik (Parasite, Our Beloved Summer, Time to Hunt) – the trustworthy older son, leader of the kids Kwon Sung-hwan (rapper/singer/producer Peakboy known for Gin&Tonic and last summer’s Gyopo Hairstyle) – the wild youngest daughter, always pumped up Kim Taehyung (BTS’ V, and also appeared in Hwarang, BTS In The Soop) – the cute & mischievous youngest sibling

The group of friends known as the “Boys” is a close-knit group of boys who have been together since they were children. They are all students at a small, rural school and have always been close. However, on Wednesday night, something happened that has left the Boys feeling scared and alone. They were all at a party when they started to feel like they were being watched. They didn’t know what was happening, but soon enough, they realized that someone was following them. The person followed them until they got home and then took off in their car. The Boys are still trying to figure out what happened that night and whether or not it was related to the recent string of robberies that have been happening in their town. They are worried about who might be behind these crimes and how they can get help from the police.

The show’s host, known as “Eating Man,” eats a variety of food items while discussing the various topics that come up during the day. If you’re unsure last week, it now confirms that this is definitely an eating show.

On Day 2, we learn that Park Hyung-sik has arrived at some point with enough orientation to get him into his special PJs. He and Woo-shik test the steamed buns then wake the cats.

After some greetings, they decide to rest a bit more, four piled into Seo-joon’s bed. But then really do go back to sleep for another hour.

Dad Seo-joon eventually rises, getting breakfast started. The tteokguk (rice cake soup) – a new year tradition – really does look pretty appetising. Sung-hwan gathers everyone up with warnings of emergencies.

Sung-hwan rewards his guests with pour-over coffee after breakfast.

As they discuss Taehyung’s features, they realize that there is only one way for him to have double eyelids - he must have them himself. But after playing with his face, they all agree that it’s a “mono-eyelid” group.

They get ready for the activity of the day – deep sea fishing. Mom Hyung-sik applies seas-sick patches behind their ears. On the way, they laugh, they sing, they talk about their friendship rings – a ring each of the five wears.

The crew of the boat head out into the wild waters, each happily catching a string of halibut. Hyung-sik’s exclamations keep everyone energized as the keepers pile up on deck.

The group of friends at their triangle table are enjoying their meal. They are eating fresh halibut, purple steamed buns, and fresh catch. The group is discussing the food and how it tastes.

Woo-shik continues to make terrible dad jokes, even Hyung-sik can’t help him. But finally, Taehyung gives in and laughs for him. Then guess what? Yes, it’s nap time. After all, they’ve had to earn lunch. ..

The private pool is dark when they arise, but the perfect time for an indoor swim in their luxurious pool. Much to everyone’s amusement, Sung-hwan wears something that looks like a wetsuit, clearly expecting a more dramatic experience. ..

The divers are competitors. They want to be the first to leave the water, and they have a plan for the next feed. There is laughter before they leave, as they come up with new strategies for getting ahead.

The group of friends head to their designated spot around the fire to start cooking. Woo-shik starts preparing a beer can chicken. It’s a little disconcerting as they proceed to personify the chicken. But apart from that, it looks like it has potential. Taehyung remains known for his skills as Noodle Master and before long they’re ready for another appetising dinner.

They relax around the fire and talk about how they may never get the opportunity to travel again, noting it’s been three+ years since their last one together. This leads to the chat about how they become a party of five.

According to reports, Seo-joon, Hyung-sik, and Taehyung were all members of the Hwarang (2016) cast. The three of them became friends during filming and continued to stay in touch after the show ended. It is said that Seo-joon claimed it was because they were so friendly that the three of them connected. However, it is unknown how Sung-hwan and Woo-shik came into contact with the Hwarang cast. ..

Online gaming has helped these three young men connect and form a friendship. Taehyung is curious as to why Hyung-sik and Sung-hwan want to meet them, but Woo-shik notes that he typically shy around people he doesn’t know. ..

Taehyung, Seo-joon, Woo-shik, and Sung-hwan all bonded over gaming and were eager to meet IRL. Hyung-sik was the one who reassured them that they would have found each other as mates even without the game - intimating fate. ..

Woo-shik, the actor in question, insists that his portrayal of a young man struggling with his sexuality in his new drama wasn’t meant to be cute. His detractors seem to disagree. ..

He says he’s over being cute, now keen for “cool” roles like the ones offered to Seo-joon. Noting he’d like to bulk up, he jokes then he’ll be able to steal some of Seo-joon’s ad deals. ..

Hyung-sik has always been cool, according to his friends. They talk about how intimidated they feel when meeting him for the first time, and how he uses his looks to get compliments. Taehyung uses this information to try and find compliments from others, but it seems to backfire every time.

They talk to Taehyung about his experience with BTS and how he has been able to connect with the group. They are surprised by how well he has done and how much he has grown as a person since joining. Sung-hwan confesses that they can’t praise him too much because things could get awkward, but Taehyung does not seem at all worried.

They discuss the live performance and how it created an energy in the room. Seo-joon and Woo-shik are envious of the experience. They marvel at the group as a whole and their differing careers.

After their heart-to-heart, Sung-hwan rekindles the energy once again, creating a multi-colored aurora. They shout joyfully and take pictures which results in sparklers. ..

Someone’s spark manages to set Woo-shik’s coat on fire, but it’s quickly snuffed. These millionaires then confer over putting tape on the hole vs retiring the 5-year-old coat. Surely it’s great as a memory with hole? ..

They plan to watch Woo-shik’s current drama later that evening. He does not seem keen on the idea.

The Episode Review

The group’s amiability and sincerity is quickly apparent. It is also clear that these qualities have been attributed to their family roles. Hyung-sik, with his sweet laugh and easygoing attitude, seems like the most unlikely candidate for the group’s “energy.” However, it seems this is what has emerged today. ..

Woo-shik’s dad jokes fall flat with an engaging awkwardness where the others can’t hold back their smiles. Seo-joon leads but says very little and Taehyung basks in the older guys’ attention. Sung-hwan initiates a lot of the teasing but he’s the one who digs into the emotional pieces too.

I’m not sure what the purpose of a holiday is, but I know that I should do whatever I want on it. Day 2 of my holiday is a great example of how you can have your own fun without anyone else around. Even though some people might be watching, it doesn’t mean that I have to follow their rules.

Meanwhile, Park Seo-joon has unwittingly sealed himself as ‘husband’ material, cooking some fabulous-looking dishes. And by the pace of consumption, it appears they’re not just well-plated but tasty as well.

In the latest episode of “The Crown”, there was more drinking than usual. It seems that the showrunners don’t need it, as they focus on the moment. It’s possible that this is a trend in the next episode, as well.

Best moments today were when we were fishing and talking about ourselves and each other. It was a great bonding experience and I really enjoyed it. The road trip was also great, as we talked about all the different places we’ve been and shared some laughs. It was a great time together.

Do you think you know these guys better than before? Which insights surprised you most? Can’t wait to hear about it in the comments below. ..
