Molly is eager to prove that she has substance, so she agrees to do several tough interviews. Sofia is worried, because Molly will be expected to answer difficult questions about the foundation. So, she decides to spend the day preparing Molly for her first interview tomorrow.

Howard and Nicholas are on their anniversary date, and Nicholas offers some advice. Howard asks him to help plan an anniversary date, but Nicholas is unhelpful. On their date, Howard again calls him for help, butNicholas yells at him to delete his number.

Nicholas calls Howard back and gives him some heartfelt advice.

Howard later tells Nicholas that his advice worked and he gets him a gift. He tells Nicholas that they have a “weird” friendship. ..

Molly goes through the material on the foundation, feeling well-prepared. She heads home, but Sofia meets her there. She doesn’t feel Molly is ready.

Molly and Sofia study together, and Molly gives Sofia a tour of John’s office. When Molly steps foot into John’s office for the first time since the divorce, she’s depressed by all the signs of his success.

Molly didn’t show up for her scheduled interview with Sofia. Instead, she’s doing a show called “Hot Ones,” where she gets to talk about her foundation and eat hot wings.

When she does the interview, the spice of the hot wings leads her to drink several beers. She ends up making a fool of herself.

Sofia apologizes to Molly for canceling the interview. She says that the interview wasn’t her fault and that Molly was ready for the harder interviews, but Sofia’s distrust of her led her to cancel.

Molly disagrees with Sofia about how John got into her head. Molly is intimidated by her husband’s success and doesn’t feel comfortable discussing it with him.

Sofia reassures John that he is not better than her, and that he would not be where he is without her. ..

Molly sits down for a serious interview with a reporter to discuss the housing shortage in LA.

The Episode Review

Sofia Salinas is quickly becoming a favorite character out of Loot’s talented cast. Michaela Jae Rodriguez has a great range for this show, and her reactions to Rudolph’s character are absolutely priceless.

The episode “The Miseducation of Molly Wells” had a light and humorous air to it. This was due to the interactions between Molly and Sofia, as well as the pairing of friends in Nicholas and Howard. I’m looking forward to seeing more unlikely relationships develop among the Wells Foundation. ..
