The Elegance Theory

Tatiana is angry and impatient as she breaks up with Berlin. She wants to steal gold from more lucrative spots, like a bank, but she’s feeling down about it all. She’s angsty and frustrated, and she doesn’t know what to do about it.

Berlin has been sleeping with Rafael behind her back, and now he’s following her. She’s not sure why, but it seems like a bad idea.

Rafael, son of Berlin, sits down with his father at the hotel they both frequent. Rafael apologizes and confirms they’ve been seeing each other for 3 weeks. Rafael continues though, claiming that he’s in love and this could actually be the real thing. Eventually Berlin is arrested for vandalism. ..

In the present, all the gold successfully travels along the pipes. However, Tamayo winds up hearing this from within his base of operations and realizes what’s been happening under his nose. He immediately sets out to gain revenge.

The gang joins together and sings “Ciao Bella” again, but although the gold has been successfully taken out, there’s still the wildcards inside the bank - namely the soldiers lurking about the vents. And of course the unresolved melodrama between our ensemble of characters. ..

Stockholm falls, and with it the city’s security. Denver decides to put her in the vault downstairs, just until everything is handled. It also allows them to get some sexy dancing and stripping in too.

Meanwhile, the Colonel finds the pipelines for the gold being moved and begins methodically working his way through every single location they could be. With soldiers armed and ready to go, it’s only a matter of time before they find Benjamin, the Professor and the others.

Eventually, the Professor realizes that he didn’t anticipate this and decides to surrender. Benjamin and Marseille encourage him to fight back, but the Professor is hesitant. Eventually they decide to face their fate and give up.

The thing is, the gold isn’t actually there. Rafael and Tatiana have been inside stationary police cars for over 20 minutes, and the Professor has deduced that something isn’t right. As our characters break free, it’s revealed that the gold has actually been stolen. The gold is gone, and it’s all thanks to Rafael and Tatiana!

The Episode Review

Rafael and Tatiana have finally been caught and it seems that they have stolen the gold from the Professor. This has caused a lot of confusion and debate as to who really stole it. Some people remember when the Professor was actually smart and forward thinking, while others may not have remembered that. Either way, this development is sure to cause a lot of upset and confusion.

The flashbacks in this episode serve a purpose, and that is to add tension and suspense. Combined with the fact that Tamayo is closing in on the Professor and co., it allows for some exciting scenes. However, it seems like the Professor has not counted on the police finding the gang, as his master stroke is to give up. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like an out of character move.

The show has spent a lot of time focusing on Denver and Stockholm, with pointless stripping scenes adding nothing to the show. We’ve also had three episodes of that soldier crawling around in the vents, so hopefully that actually builds up to something worthwhile. ..

As this show nears its end, we’re nearly there.
