Welcome to the Spectacle of Life

In episode 3 of La Casa De Papel Season 5, Stockholm helps to give CPR to Arturo, who is down and out with all hope seemingly lost. Thanks to some quick thinking from the group though, they manage to revive him and bring Arturo back…yay?

Anyway, with the city in desperate need of a doctor, Arturo is taken out on a stretcher and away in an ambulance. The somber crowd watch on from afar while Stockholm ends up wracked in guilt over what’s happened. ..

Tamayo certainly doesn’t feel any regret though. In fact, he hopes Arturo dies as it will give him an excuse to head into the bank and kill everyone there. No survivors and all that. ..

Sierra has been keeping an eye on Arturo and knows that he is in danger. She uses her knowledge of the Professor to get him to agree to help break out of the bank, but things quickly go wrong. The Professor starts to get angry and starts to threaten the others with his gun. Benjamin and Marseille are not happy about this and they start to fight with the Professor. They eventually get free and run away, but not before they take down Sierra with them.

Sierra sees her control over the situation slip away when Tamayo goes on-air and releases a statement regarding the inspector, issuing a manhunt to bring her in. ..

After fabricating evidence against her, the Professor needs to unsettle her position. However, Sierra’s water suddenly breaks which throws a serious spanner in the works.

Sierra is a stubborn woman, and decides to give birth right there in front of the Professor and the others. The Professor decides to help Sierra give birth, who eventually relinquishes and allows the trio to go free. In doing so, the Professor is true to his word and helps her give birth.

The gang decides to hold off the army as long as possible, knowing that they won’t be able to win.

There’s a moment of reflection before all the action happens; a proverbial calm before the storm. Different players reminisce on past experiences, while the authorities outside regroup and prepare to hit the bank. Among them is Gandia, who’s absolutely fine now and ready to fight.

The final conflict begins as the soldiers rappel up the building, planting explosives on the roof. Sierra gives birth and the soldiers prepare to fight. As they do, a bomb detonates, blasting both players and their unborn child skyward.

The Episode Review

The pacing of the chapter felt off to me. It was slow and lacked the excitement that came with the first few episodes. The events that did happen were not particularly noteworthy, either. It seemed like the chapter was setting up for something bigger, but it didn’t deliver on that promise. ..

The flashbacks in this episode didn’t add anything to the story and made you want to get back to the action. ..

Episode 2 and 3 of “Attack on Titan” have been lackluster, with little to no excitement or suspense. It seems like the series is taking a step back and may not be returning for another month or so. Hopefully, these final two episodes will be more exciting and provide a closure to the story.
