Episode Guide

Aarmand Island is a small, uninhabited island located in the middle of the Woods. It is home to a variety of creatures, including a creature from the woods that can only be found on Aarmand Island. The creature is known for its powerful attacks and its ability to jump high. The island also has a secret that can only be discovered by those who are brave enough to venture there. The review scores for both the creatures on Aarmand Island and the secret on it are 3/5.

Despite its flaws, Elf is a well-made show that should be watched if you’re looking for something new to watch this holiday season.

When Mads and Charlotte take their kids to the remote island of Armandso, they think it’s just a fun place to spend a summer vacation. But they soon find out that the island is home to woodland elves, who have been kept behind an electrified fence. Josefine, who is a natural caretaker, takes it upon herself to help the elves get back into the wild. This small act sets off a chain of events that threatens all life on the island. ..

This show is a mix of horror and family entertainment. It has a 15 rating and some blood, but it’s not really scary. The tone is definitely flitting between light bites of teen dramas like NOS4A2 or Locke and Key, which manage to conjure up a feeling of dread, and family entertainment with a smattering of blood. There’s one moment where something truly horrifying happens, but cutting out the blood would not have lost anything and would have easily opened this up to a 12A rating.

The show has a lot of potential, but it falls short in many ways. The premise is interesting and the writing is good, but the showrunners seem to have trouble staying on track. The characters are cardboard cutouts and the plot is convoluted and slow. There’s also a lot of cheese in the dialogue, which makes it difficult to take Elves seriously as a holiday show.

The ending is rushed and the characters get little development. There is a subplot involving Kasper and neighbour Liv that just feels pointless while the time spent with the little elf and Josefine are so sparse that it lacks the emotional punch needed when the finale rolls round. ..

The show has potential but it needs more time to develop its world and characters.
