When they find the Shimmer’s hideout, they are met by Powder, a skilled fighter and member of the Shimmer. Powder turns the tables on the Firelights, defeating them in a fight and taking their weapons. Powder’s real weakness is her relationship with Vi, another member of the Shimmer. ..

Jayce and Viktor have been working on Hextech gemstones, fortifying the exterior to avoid being smashed to bits. It also means this technology can be used all over the colony to speed up developments, including the mines or with artists. Jayce, a young Piltoverian who has been investigating the Hexgates, suggests closing the gates to protect citizens. The Councilors are more interested in making money than protecting people, so they appoint Jayce to a seat on the council with them. This puts him in charge of the Hexgates and makes him one of the most powerful people in Piltover. ..

Jinx returns to the Undercity with the gemstones. Silco is incredulous, unhappy that she’s acted independently of him and knowing this will have repercussions.

Vi is the leader of the prison guards and she’s been responsible for keeping the inmates in line. Caitlyn comes to find out that Vi is also responsible for the bombing that took place at Jayce’s workshop. She’s determined to bring her to justice and make her pay for her actions.
