The series is set in the fictional town of Aranyak, and revolves around the love story between two characters: a young girl, Priya, and her older brother, Rahul. The series is set to be a love/hate affair because it’s a cliched and disappointing murder mystery.

You’ve got your shady government officials, the polar opposite detectives working together and the damsel in distress that needs saving. This is certainly no Sacred Games, and the writing is questionable at the best of times. ..

The show then jumps forward 8 years, and we see the aftermath of the third episode’s events. The fourth episode is all about setting up a conflict between two characters that was hinted at in earlier episodes, but wasn’t fully developed until this point. The fifth episode is all about resolving that conflict, while also hinting at a new one. The sixth episode is all about resolving that new conflict as well. The townspeople in this small town are convinced that a supernatural being killed their loved ones. They have no evidence to back up their claims, but they refuse to give up on the theory. The townspeople are afraid that the Leopard-Man will come back and kill them all again.

The story quickly turns into a race against time as the police try to find out what’s going on and whether or not they can save the children.

Kasturi is a grizzled police officer who is about to go on a year-long sabbatical until she learns what’s happened to Aimee. Off the back of this, Katsuri decides to investigate the case. Predictably, she’s teamed up with her replacement, Angad, and the pair set to work.

Mahadev tells the story of how he and his wife, Sunita, were driving home from a family gathering when they saw a man walking down the street with a large black cat on his shoulder. The man was so large and imposing that Sunita couldn’t believe it was her father-in-law. She asked him what he was doing with the cat and he replied that it was his pet. Sunita’s husband, Mahadev, who was driving, told her to get out of the car because he didn’t want to get involved in a argument with the man. As they pulled up to the police station, Mahadev saw that the Leopard Man had already stolen the cat.

The season finale of “Sherlock” feels like a letdown because there are so many twists and turns that it’s hard to keep up. The ending is a bit predictable.

The first episode of Aranyak is a bit rough, but the story does start to develop. The shorter episode run-time helps in that respect, while the mystery is just enough to keep you interested.

The show has some good and bad writing throughout, with some ill-timed jokes and an utterly bizarre and unearned romance. The funniest line in the whole show isn’t even meant to be a joke but it’s so incredulous that you can’t help but chuckle. “We cannot shake hands with snakes because snakes do not have hands.” Brilliant. ..

Netflix has given Aranyak a chance to show what it can do. The show is not likely to gain the plaudits, but it may hit a good number of views on the platform. Billed as the Indian Mare Of Easttown, Aranyak awkwardly attempts to blend supernatural and gritty crime together but falls short of expectations.
