Kingdom

Similarities – K-Drama & Suspense

Kingdom is a zombie action-thriller that splits across two seasons. The first season is focused on political drama while the second season focuses on action. The show is beautifully presented and dripping in Asian culture, making it a must-watch for fans of the genre.

The first episode of “Queen of the South” introduces the beautiful and historically accurate setting of Hanyang in South Korea, then flashes back to the Joseon Period and Crown Prince Lee Chang’s bitter feud with Queen Seon-deok. Physician Seo-Bi makes a horrifying discovery that changes everything. ..

With Lee Chang by her side, the pair realize that the dead are coming back to life and are hunting the living. With no guns or modern weaponry, much of the tension comes from seeing these men and women make do with the scarce resources around them. ..

The show is one of the few that balances this action with tension perfectly. The second season only builds on this, leading to the very possible prospect of a third season.

Kingdom is a new show that premiered on ABC this year. It follows the story of a young woman who is sent to live in a remote part of the country with her father, who she hasn’t seen in years. The show is set against the backdrop of the Kingdom community, which is a religious cult that believes in polygamy and child brides. We thought the show was interesting and well-made, but we didn’t love it. We think it’s worth checking out if you’re interested in watching something new, but we don’t think it’s worth investing your time in if you’re already watching plenty of other shows. ..

The Terror (Season 1)

Similarities – Horror & Paranoia

The first season of The Terror is a masterclass in suspense. While the second season switches things up to become much more of an alt-history drama, the first season remains tense and gripping. ..

The Terror and Erebus set out from England on July 1, 1847, with the intention of sailing through the Arctic ice pack and reaching the North Pole. Unfortunately for the crews of both vessels, they were quickly met with obstacles. The Terror was forced to turn back after being unable to navigate through a thick layer of ice; while the Erebus was forced to make a slow and dangerous journey through treacherous waters. Despite these difficulties, both ships made it to their destination; however, only the Terror reached safety. The Erebus continued on its way, but eventually ran into trouble again. This time, however, they were able to make it back home safely. This story is full of adventure and suspense; it follows the crew of two vessels as they attempt to navigate through an uncharted area of the Arctic Ocean. Despite their challenges, both ships made it back home safe and sound. This story is a great example of how determination can overcome any obstacle.

With the events following this unknown beyond bone fragments and scientific theories, The Terror dives into the horror genre, taking influence from the book of the same name to imagine a horrific scenario of just what happened to the men on board both ships.

This is a great book that you should read. The characters are well written and the ending is satisfying.

There’s an extremely tense atmosphere gripping most of the season and while many people remain torn over this one, we were definitely fans of this. ..

Black Summer is a season of change for the CW’s Arrow. After five seasons of building up Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as a hero, the showrunners decided to take a different approach this year. They introduced the idea that Oliver is not the only one who can be a hero, and that there are other people in Starling City who can help protect it. This season, Black Summer, saw the city under siege by members of The League of Assassins. The team-up between Oliver and his former enemy John Diggle (David Ramsey) was essential to stopping them, but it also showed that they have more in common than they thought. In the end, Black Summer proved to be a turning point for both characters, and set up an exciting future for Arrow. ..
